Well thought out design, sensor to control water flow, easy to clean
I like it a lot – my cats are still getting used to it. First of all it doesn’t take up a lot of space, but it does hold nearly a gallon of water. I like the style of it and that the water is not coming from above where my cats’ heads would be while drinking as many other models do. I love that it’s rechargeable and I don’t have to worry about changing batteries or having an outlet nearby, there is also a battery sensor so I’ll know when it needs recharging. The well thought out design and stainless steel makes it easy to clean and it comes with a cleaning brush for complete pump maintenance, it also came with two filter replacements. The water flow is extremely quiet, and can be set to continuous (must be plugged in for this function), timer, or sensor. I really like the timer setting which sends 15 seconds of water flow every 20 minutes, but if your pet comes to drink between cycles the fountain goes into sensor mode and water flows immediately upon their arrival then returns to it’s normal cycle once they leave.One of my cats came to check it out immediately, she’s curious that way. As you can see from the photos she was a little cautious about it at first, honestly, I think the blue light bothered her more than the water flowing. In between photos she kept trying to sneak up on it without the light coming on, eventually she took a few sample drinks and decided to hang around. My older cat has not to my knowledge approached it yet. I do wish I could turn the light off to begin with to get him nearer because I know he likes to drink moving water. I imagine he’ll eventually cave and see what it’s all about, if not I may turn it off so he just thinks of it as a new water dish to begin with and turn it back on once he becomes accustomed to it. If they’ll both use it, I’ll buy another one because it really does check all the boxes for me and the price is reasonable, especially when there are coupons available.

Sleek and has many great features
I’m very excited to see how this performs over the next month. It was simple to figure out and put together. I was surprised to see that it has three different modes: sensing, timer, and continuous. At first I was annoyed that “continuous mode” would only work if the fountain was plugged in because our other cat fountain is continuous and the cats love it. My black cat Buddy is the scarediest of scaredy cats and I was afraid it would scare him when it came on in “sensing mode.” As in my pictures, he was indeed startled when the fountain came on, but I suspect he’ll get used to it. I actually like the fact that it has a sensing mode to save the battery. I will be moving this to our upper floor since we already have an auto feeder up there and all the cats (four total) love it. This will be a perfect compliment. I will say the battery took several hours to fully charge which was a little surprising but if it lasts a month, I can deal with that. It also comes to two extra filters.UPDATE:My cats all love this fountain more than the one we’ve had for a year. With such a high capacity of water, I can see that they go through half of the water in two days. The sensing feature is great and no longer scares any cat; they all happily drink from this fountain. I like this one so much I just added another to my cart because I think this fountain is going to have to stay where it is. It’s the small things in life that bring joy, and for some reason, watching my cats drink water is one of those things. Who knew!

I liked the fountain. But I cannot find any replacement filters for this model. There is not an option to contact the seller. I checked their website and there were no replacement filters there. It looks like I am going to have no choice but to return the fountain.

Cat preferred water fountain dish!!!
My first concern with a pet fountain was that it filtered the water, not just cycled it, and had the ability to stand alone somewhere without a cord that could be accidentally pulled or chewed on. This water bowl met my criteria!It comes with three water filters that fit directly under the metal water dish so that the returning water to the well is automatically filtered each time. It actually holds quite a bit of water also, just under a gallon.There are a few ways you can have it set up. Firstly is a flow for 15 seconds when a pet approaches, only. Second option is to have the fountain flow for 15 seconds when the pet nears it, while also flowing automatically every 20 minutes so that the water doesnt get stagnant. Third option is constant fountain flow, but this requires that it is plugged in at all times.

Great fountain!
This is actually a pretty cool water fountain; you just charge it, clean it, fill it, and let it do its thing. It has some sort of motion sensor on it, so it doesn’t recycle the water until a cat is sitting in front of it more or less; that’s how it can go like 15 days without needing to be recharged, because it’s not always on, it’s preserving battery life by powering the motion sensor or whatever it is instead of the pump. It can take a fair amount of water, you’ll likely need to fill it before you need to worry about charging it; we typically have to fill our fountains at least twice a week; so with something like this, we will end up having to fill it a few times even before we have to charge the battery.Cleaning is easy, we popped it all in the dish washer but make sure you take out the filter before you pop it in.So, the only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because this is a legit cool fountain but its usefulness and its lifespan is 100% tied to the battery. I didn’t try to see if the fountain would operate when plugged in but I didn’t nab this to eventually turn it into a wired fountain, I got it because it was battery powered and I wanted to put it in a spot where there is no power. So when the battery fails, you’ll have to get a new pump (it’s in all in one unit) which even if replaceable, requires a special battery; so replacement is the only option (at least for most people).
