Pet Water Fountain
It is my opinion that not only does it provide the fountain a sleek and clean appearance, but it also makes it much simpler to maintain sterilized in comparison to those that are made of plastic. Because of its tendency to be more resistant to the accumulation of germs, stainless steel is a material that I prioritize when it comes to the health of my dogs. It has come to my attention that my feline companions seem to choose drinking from the stainless steel surface since it remains cooler, particularly on days when the temperature is higher. The flow of water is soft, which results in a pleasant bubbling sensation that is appealing to my dogs without being overpowering. I get the impression that this helps encourage them to drink more, which is something that pet owners are often concerned about. Having a capacity of 3 liters is another aspect that I like since it necessitates fewer refills. It is quite handy for me to be able to go many days without needing to top it out, especially during the weeks that are very hectic. So far, the three filters that were supplied have proven to be successful in maintaining the water’s cleanliness and freshness. The fact that my cats have a tendency to get pieces of food or hair in their water makes me believe that this is particularly helpful. I have observed that the water retains its odor-free quality for a much longer period of time in comparison to a standard bowl. This is because the multi-layer filtering system guarantees that these contaminants are eliminated.

Really love this pet fountain for my kitty. She loves moving water and I found this to replace a plastic one that wouldn’t stop molding after the first 24hrs. There’s no leakage, it’s great quality and durable, comes with extra filters that you can easily rinse and reuse a couple times. It fits great in any area, it’s not loud at all, mostly silent unless you need to refill it, which is super easy as well! I usually just lift the lid to ensure there’s no floaties and fill it up without taking it to the sink! It needs cleaned once a week to ensure there’s no issues! Otherwise any issues are user error. I love this little fountain, probably as much as my kitty does. the different attachments made it easy to find what she liked best! I love this for her!

Disappointed, item last less than 4 months
I bought this at the end of June, and by mid-October the water pump had already failed. The item is supposed to be eligible for replacement for one year, but after filling out the form, I’m redirected to a FAQ page with no replacement option and no way to contact support. I would appreciate it if Amazon got in touch.It’s a good item, but it worked for less than four months before breaking. If I had the chance to do it again, I’d buy something more reliable.

This is absolutely one of the best value for my money I have gotten in a long time. Set up was incredibly easy, and I honestly probably could have done it without even looking at the included instructions. It is absolutely silent, holds enough water that I rarely need to refill it, and cleaning the fountain/replacing the filter literally could not be any easier. I have had it running non-stop for months and everything works exactly as well as it did when I first plugged it in. I am planning on getting a second one, as I originally got it for my cats but will likely get a second for my dog.

I think it would be better if the water basin held water a little more, or there was a bit more pressure in the water pump. But I also think it’s this way to not make noise and make it friendly to more timid pets. Overall it works well! Ooh, would also like a longer plug in cord. My complaints are very negligible and it was absolutely worth the price.

Great pet fountain but needs battery backup
Very sturdy and all entirely stainless steel. My cat drinks a lot of water because of it. Only downside is there is no battery backup if the electricity goes out which means the cat would NOT have any access to water.

I have very mixed feelings on the Amazon Basics pet water fountain. I’ve purchased four different fountains over the past couple of years for a multi pet household with 2 cats and 1 dog, and I’ve yet to find one perfect one. This isn’t it yet either, and I know I’m going to trash this in the near future.PROS: There can be a lot to like about this water fountain. It is ultra quiet, barely a whisper of water. It also has stainless steel as the primary water bowl, which is more hygienic. It also has 4 filters, so the water filtration is pretty good. Finally, this is Amazon Basics, which means the price to value is not bad. The design is also very thoughtful with a water level that you can visually spotcheck.With all of that said, now that I’ve owned and used this fountain for 3 months, all of the above is outweighed by …CONs: If any reviews say that this fountain is easy to clean, they are lying. After having owned this water fountain for several months now, I dread my weekly cleaning routine of this fountain. Why? All of the reviews, and even the product description, talks about the easy replacement filter (emphasis on one filter). But wait, remember how I said above there are 4 filters in total?? Nobody talks about the 3 other foam filters that are tucked away in the pump section, which you need to take apart and wash. You’re only replacing 1 of the 4 filters. The fact that these other reviews talk about how easy it is to clean tells me they’re not taking apart water pump parts and washing ALL of the individual components and foam filters, which is the same mistake I made for the first month. These other filters get as gunky as the replacement filter. What really bothers me is that there are no replacement parts for these other filters, so you’re using and refusing the same dirty filters.
