I got this feeder to make sure our 4 cats are fed even when we’re out of town for a weekend or running around in the evenings. We’ve had auto feeders before, but this one is definitely the most high tech of the one’s we’ve gotten. This review assumes you’re looking for a higher tech feeder. Here’s my take:DUAL CAMERA: I went ahead and got the dual camera version to try out so I could give a full review of every function. All models of this feeder include a camera that basically just points at the food bowl so you can see if there’s food in it, and you can see (very up close) if and when a cat comes to eat. The dual camera adds on a wide view camera that gives you a broader view of the room and surroundings. This would be good if you want to see other things in the room where you’re feeding such as litter boxes, cat trees, etc. If you don’t really need an additional room view camera, then the dual camera isn’t necessary. It does have this cool action-tracking feature where the camera automatically tracks and records any movement in the room, but my cats didn’t like the sound of the camera moving around. They would get used to it, I’m sure, but with 4 cats we’d just get constant updates so it was overkill for me. I turned it off and now the camera is just pointed in one spot giving a wide view of the room. The tech is cool but combined with the app, it also has the potential to just be annoying.APP: Like everything techy now, you will need to get a specific app to use the feeder. If you’re moderately tech savvy, you’ll have no problem. But if you’re getting this for an older relative or someone who isn’t as tech savvy, it isn’t the most intuitive app, and the instructions that come with the feeder are a little convoluted, presumably due to translation issues. It took me a second to figure out exactly how to set up a feeder schedule (which can only be done in the app) and how to see the feeding bowl camera as the ‘front page’ of the app is on the room view camera. If you have a Ring doorbell or similar, you’re already familiar with the potential for being spammed by movement alerts. It’s the same thing. I’d recommend only turning on the notifications if you’re traveling or only have 1 cat. It was too much for us. You can pay to get cloud storage and you can pay to get an AI feature that’s supposed to reduce the number of nuisance alerts, but I’m just not excited about spending more money to use a cat feeder.FUNCTIONALITY AS A FEEDER: It dispenses food without a problem. It doesn’t give you a good measurement of how much food it considers “a portion,” presumably because cat food sizes are all different, but it has you select how many “portions” you want to dispense at a time. You can see in my video how much Iams cat food is in a “portion.” It’s pretty small. You can dispense up to 15 “portions” at a time. I like that the feeder bowl is stainless steel and removable for easy cleaning. I don’t love that it’s not a standard size because if you lose the bowl or it gets damaged, you can’t just put any other bowl in there. The feeder holds a nice amount of food. Even with 4 cats, I doubt I’ll have to refill it more than once a week.MATERIALS & BUILD: The majority of the feeder is made of plastic. The food container seems ~okay~ but I’d prefer it be a little thicker and more sturdy. If you’re putting it on the feeder once and only removing it to clean, I’m sure it’s fine, but it seems a little too flexible for my taste. Right now, the dual camera feeder is $83 with a coupon, so for that I guess you’re mostly paying for tech and it’s fine.MAINTENANCE & CLEANING: The food bowl is stainless steel and removable – fantastic. The feeding storage container is plastic, not as thick as I’d like, but easy to remove and wash because it doesn’t have a thin bottle neck at either end like some feeders, so that’s a plus.CAT FRIENDLINESS: Our cats took to it pretty fast. They’ve always had auto feeders so the noises didn’t spook them except the noise from the tracking camera. It does dispense enough (plus I can set up as many daily feedings as I want, near as I can tell) so it’s totally suitable for multi cat households.

Large Quantity Automatic Pet Feeder with Good Quality Camera
This is a good automatic pet feeder. The app is easy to download and set up is easily completed by following the instructions in the manual. The height is 15.5 inches tall, 7.5 inches wide from side to side, and 12 inches deep from the front of the tray to the back. The food dispenser holds a lot of food; the food container part is 8.5 inches tall and t.5 inches wide. This is enough food to last several days for a cat. The food dispenser is automatic and you can also click on the app to manually dispense food. The feeder is sturdy and not easy for a pet to knock over. The camera works well. The feeder notifies you when there is activity in the area. This is a good set up to have for being away from home and being able to check on the cats to make sure they are eating.
