Best Amazon purchase I’ve ever made.
This has been the best thing I’ve gotten from Amazon.I’m a dog trainer with a small yard and a few health problems that flare up from time to time. Both of my dogs are high energy and high-drive, and this really helps in a pinch when I don’t have the means to take them on walks. It’s also perfect for practicing impulse control!The product is sturdy and well-made. I’ll tug on the toy when my dogs catch it so it’s a fun game of chase AND tug of war. I would just suggest not leaving it out around your dog when it’s not being used, as they may try to chew through the rope (that happened with one of my clients lol).Handle and weight is comfortable. I have weak wrists and this is super manageable for me to use one-handed. The grip is a nice rubber texture with an ergonomic grip.The one thing I noticed though, is it’s only for right-handed people. If you’re left-handed, the form of the grip might feel a bit strange. Would be nice if they thought of that and made a grip for lefties (I’m ambidextrous so this would be helpful for me as well to switch arms when one got tired).The only other thing that you have to pay attention to, is the part where the pole attaches together. Make sure you check before and after each session that it’s twisted on securely. There have been a couple of times where I’ve felt it loosen up and almost came apart mid-play 😆All in all, if you’ve thought about getting one, don’t sleep on it! You’ll thank yourself!

We have been using this flirt pole for 3 years now. Not the same one. We repurchase when this one breaks. Not the pole itself but the rope. Our heeler loves to chew the blue cord, so when we are not looking, he can sever it. Having said that, its been a great way to expend his energy out each night.I have to recommend a yoga mat. He jumps many times to reach this rope as we swing it back and forth. So we bought a 1 inch thick yoga mat, and we cover it with his little rugs we have to help protect the mat from scratches. It has worked out really nice and has cushioned his landings like intended. Here is a link below to the one that we use. You can buy “used” which actually are brand new, just returned/damaged boxes. We’ve had ours 1 year and its lasted with the rugs on top to protect. Highly recommend to protect your pups legs from impact.We have bought MANY types of flirt poles over the years. Many snap in half. We play HARD! ha. But this one is made out of stainless steel. So it is really sturdy when we are pulling our dog back and forth. He loves to pull us around the house and lead us in a circle. You can also spin it around or dangle in the air for them to jump. He is exhausted in about 10 to 15 min. Great at night or bad weather when he cant get out and run. Love the product, but not ideal if you’re a left handed
Great product with one minor issue. I’m left handed, and the non-slip rubber handle that match the human mechanics only works if you’re a right handed. So it’s not ideal. I wish it would come in a left handed option or even better more ambidextrous design, so I can switch hands while using. I still recommend the product, my strong dog seems to enjoy the tugging, and pole has lasted her strong jaw.

Good for hyperactive Giant Schnauzer and for my mini schnauzer
Decided to go with the doggy version of the flirt pole we had at home. Dog trainer recommended we get a flirt pole for my mini schnauzer puppy which the one we got was for cats. (It was very frail and I worried it would and could snap.) so I found this one and so far-it’s been really good. Wasn’t too worried about the construction of the pole with my mini schnauzer, but the giant schnauzer is a whole ‘nother ball game with that.My giant loves loves loves toys and chewing this up and chasing. Tried it out with him and we play really hard with him using the pole. He loves to tug on it and have me tug back. 70+ lb dog who has an extremely strong jaw and body and so far, the pole has stood up to his strength. He’s usually running around all over the house, but after 30 mins to an hour playing with it- he was actually tired! Which is great cuz he’s the type of dog that wants to play A LOTI will say I’d probably redesign where the two points meet up. I keep worrying of it snapping and it keeps unscrewing while in play. I personally would a more sturdy construction due to my giant schnauzer being a hard and tough player with his toys. These are more suggestions and critiques versus actual cons.Overall I’d say it’s a fantastic toy for our two dogs who loves to play with toys. It’s sturdy enough to withstand our giant schnauzer (70+lb and very active one) for now. Anything less than that, I wouldn’t worry too much. Will likely come back again sometime. Thank you!

Hurt my puppy but she had fun before that
The stick is really durable and I like the handle because it has divets for your fingers and is soft. However when playing with this the metal end hit my poor dog’s head really hard as she was jumping and playing hard ☹ she got over it but it hurt her and stunned her for a minute.. not safe for the puppets if they play hard

Very fun for the dog
My golden goes crazy for it and doesn’t seem to get bored with how long we play. Good for wearing him out and having fun inside the house. He’s a tugger and so far the pole and attachment are still holding strong. I do have to hold it in my right hand on account of the handle design (I’m a lefty) but didn’t bother me much.

Quite possibly the best thing I’ve ever purchased for my dog.My puppy has tons of energy and will chase this around forever! It has an ergonomic handle so it’s comfortable to hold over long periods of time.It’s really durable, my puppy has pulled and pulled on it and it hasn’t broken or sustained any damage. It comes in two parts that screw together so I was worried that would weaken it but it hasn’t.I really like the clip feature so you could swap out the toy if you had something else you could attach.The toy that comes with it is also durable – it’s been chewed on and is still fully intact.Overall I’d 100% recommend this to anyone with a puppy or dog that has a lot of energy to burn.
