Came as a two-pack at a fair price and our cats are happy with them!
We have 2 female kitties who don’t like each other or sharing their stuff. The previous wire brush they shared was getting pretty thin and I really wasn’t sure about this style but decided to give them a shot. One cat can’t get enough of it and the other tolerates this type as well as the wire.I actually like this one better for getting clumps out. Doesn’t seem, to cause Cleo as much distress. She has very oily mid-length fur and some parts on her thighs are particularly prone to oily clumps that are tough to comb through. I thought the old wire style would have been better at it but this one actually seems more effective and less painful.Clementine has shorter more bristly fur so she doesn’t really get snarled. just sheds. These brushes are perfect for both of our girls and we would buy again. As for color, we ordered purple/black and that’s what we got, although color wasn’t a concern for me. Can’t speak to durability until we’ve used them for a longer time. One thing to note is it takes some finessing to get the angle right so you don’t rip their skin off (slight exaggeration.) At fist I kept getting the brush caught in the fur which almost made me return. But after trying a few different ways of laying the bristles into the fur, it worked beautifully without pulling. Seems to be good quality and Hertz is a trusted name in pet products, but only time will tell for sure how well they’re made and will last.

Works great to detangle long-haired cats and guinea pigs
This is my favorite brush for our cat with medium hair and our fancy-pants guinea pig with long hair. It helps tease out the knots and detangle them before they become mats.I was afraid the size would be too big for little pets, but it’s actually really convenient. It works great to give them a nice groom quickly.Even pets with short hair enjoy a brush from this. Two short haired cats get regular brushings and love it, so it must feel good on their skin. The quality seems great. It’s easy to hold, easy to grip, and is easy to clean the hair out of. Speaking of which, it works really well at getting loose hair out of coats! My new favorite pet brush.

Good little slicker brush.
Easily removes loose hair and mats from my long, curly haired maltipoo. Easy to get to hard to reach places like her neck and hind legs. This light weight brush was smaller than expected but not a problem. The handle was easy to grip. My dog does not like being brushed and seemed irritated equally with this brush. Brush does not feel sharp to my skin. I used very little pressure to brush through her fur.

GREAT little brush. Highly recommend.
I have a cat that did not like the Furminator, which was my previous favorite. Her skin seems to be a bit more sensitive. But she loves this brush and will finally let me brush her. I have another cat that loved the Furminator, but she also loves this brush. So this is my new favorite. Some have commented that the hair is difficult to remove, but it isn’t. Just sort of pinch it from top to bottom a few times and it starts clumping together, making it easy enough to pull out as one big hair blob.I’ve also discovered it’s great at getting hair off upholstered furniture! Because the bristles are plastic, it doesn’t catch on fibers and it safely and easily removes the hair. I love this little brush.

Puppies love being brushed!
My small puppies love this brush! I struggled to find a light brush that would gently detangle their fur. This worked perfectly. They curled up in my lap and stayed there for as long as I continued to brush them. It must feel like a massage!. I ordered a second brush when I saw how easy it is to brush them when they enjoy how it feels.

Love this thing
This brush is awesome! I have a toy aussiedoodle. Originally bought a full size brush and honestly it was about as big as him I think it was painful and hard on him. I searched for one that was smaller to conform to his body better and was for sensitive skin. This one has the plastic nubs on the tips which make it much easier on him to be brushed and it does a great job. I have been letting his hair grow out some for the winter and this gets full of hair by the time I have done so I know it is cleaning him well. Can’t say enough good things about the brush for the price

Decent brush, but not great for golden retrievers.
This brush works alright, but it doesn’t hold much hair and fills up quickly. It’s not the best choice for my golden retriever — I need something more heavy-duty and self-cleaning.

excellent for cats
Between my long-haired dog and my long-haired cat, I have way too many slicker brushes. This is the best one for the cat that I’ve found. He gets spooky around the larger ones and this one, while a bit overstimulating like most slickers, lets the brushing sessions last longer. It picks up a LOT of hair, too.

Used this brush today on my cavapoo. Although it is small , but not too small it did a wonderful job, especially the face , legs and tail. The handle is very comfortable to use . This is the best slicker brush I have owned and I have had 4 high maintenance coated dog throught the years but I honestly can’t fault this brush. My dog doesn’t liked being groomed but she tolerated her groom today very well. I am happy to recommend and would buy again.

Strong enough to get the loose fur off, but doesn’t pull too much to upset the fluff-bucket.

Both our cats love these brushes ( we have the smaller one and this larger style). The tips are coated which is a huge must — we tried another brand and clearly our cats did not like the “scratchy” feel if the tips are not coated. It is amazing how much they enjoy a brushing and how much loose hair comes free. Personally I use the crevice tool on the vacuum to quickly and easily remove the built up hair; every single hair comes off the brush. Also, the bristles are off centered to each other (not in a row) which works as intended; the other styles just basically massage the cats and barely remove hair. Of the five different styles we tried (some had the push button removal option), we found this Hartz model to be superior and would highly recommend.
