Sturdy tree base and well made
I have had this tree for a couple months and my cat is 9 months old about 10 pounds and he’s a moderate chewer (not obsessed with putting things in his mouth but has been known to chew). I really like the design; you can shape the leaves and for him the leaves are chew resistant (no holes or pieces). The product was really easy to put together. I was surprised at how sturdy the base is, it’s a really thick chunk of wood. His favorite activity is jumping up and clinging with all four paws. He will stay on there for a few seconds with no problem to the scratching post. I’ve only seen it knocked over just a handful of times, he would have to really run and hit it at the right angle, or try to climb on the very top of it. The “grass” and where the leaves are connected is nice and soft and I haven’t seen it fall out or around the house any where; it really stays attached. Also ditto for the leaves, they haven’t come out. The ball was surprisingly heavy, not like a lightweight ball you might find at the pet store, but it’s not scary heavy, haha. It does have a little rattle in it, it’s not a high tinny sound like a bell, imagine beans in a jar you shook. That has also stayed attached really well and he does bat at it somewhat. He likes the leaves because they are nice and opaque to “hide” and provide a nice “crinkle” sound when he can reach from the couch or wherever. At the end of the day this was really nice to him to really reach up to stretch and scratch.

Stunning cat scratching post
First of all, as a family with 5 cats, I really need a cat scratching post to be able to give all my cats to play with, so it needs a product that is very stable and not easy to topple over. I think this cat scratching post does it! It has a 17.7 inch diameter base, and is double layer of sturdy wooden boards stacked without cut, which is much more stable than some products that cut the bottom to reduce the size of the package, and reduces the possibility of breaking, as shown in the pictures on the detail page. And the weight of the base plate up to 5.88 pounds, when the purchase of the figures do not feel very heavy, but after the actual get really heavy, which makes me feel very relieved!Secondly, I have purchased many other cat scratching posts, so the material is more ideas, many businesses to save costs will use cheap jute rope and dye in order to visually look good, but my idea is that the dye may have a bad smell, my cat could be hurt, and sisal rope will be more resistant than jute rope. And PVC pipe would be stronger than ordinary paper tube hardness, more solid, not to mention that it is still 3.35 diameter pipe, so give a nod to the choice of materials for this cat scratching post, you can see the brand’s good intentions.Then I have to say is that the designer in order to meet the different age of the cat need to scratch the height of the column is different, to achieve a scratchable height of 31 inches, for this height and are sisal winding I am very satisfied, more practical than some of the top is a fleece style.The last thing that surprised me is that the cat tree really looks like a tree in bloom. I was worried at first that I wouldn’t be able to organize the leaves well, but it’s actually very easy to do, just watch the tutorial on organizing once. And installation is even easier, only 1 minute to install, simply for people like me who do not like to read instructions and designed!After the installation and finishing leaves, the cat scratching post in the living room or bedroom is a very beautiful decoration, which is better than any of my potted plants look good, but also do not really have to water maintenance, it is really a two birds with one stone :)This is why I gave this cat scratching column 5 stars, super love! Super recommended!

Simple, yet fabulous
Buy it. This is our second one (my boys literally loved their first one to death). They are OBSESSED and in love with their tree. They hug it, and love it and cuddle it – I only wish it was a little more weighted down so they can’t knock it over, but considering the size of this monster, I can’t complain. Do not deprive your cats the joy of this tropical fun fest. It’s worth every penny and it’s cute in the house. Win win.

Looks great, easy assembly
My cats LOVE this scratcher! They use it daily, it’s very sturdy, not unbalanced. This was easy to put together. I have it near a snake plant, and it looks really cute there. Lasted about 16 months until my cats ripped the twine to shreds, I bought some cheap twine and was able to glue it on,, looks new and I expect it to last another 16 months! Love this, would recommend.

my kitty LOVES this scratching post! it’s super easy to assemble, looks great, and lasts for a while! i’ve purchased this a few times now (only replacing it when it gets too worn) and my only gripe is that the rope around the ball sometimes comes off, exposing the glue (which i don’t really want my cat to ingest)

Solid well made scratching post.
This is a very good scratch post. STURDY. it’s pretty too. It’s actually a bit too big for my apartment but that is my fault for not really measuring. My senior cat won’t use it but I forgot how older cats often don’t take to any new posts, but my younger adult rescue cat likes it just fine and it is more important for him anyhow.

My cats have really enjoyed this cat tree — they love both the cozy little condo and the top perch with the “palm tree.” It was very easy to assemble, only took a few minutes, and feels stable and durable for its size. The material is soft, the scratching posts are sturdy, and it’s perfect for small to medium cats. Great quality for the price.

I have two larger cats who like the tree but have basically destroyed it in under a month. The top of the palm tree insert is made of fabric and my cats have obliterated that. The whole structure is a little side heavy where the palm tree is and the whole thing has fallen a few times in that direction. It’s very cute if you have small cats that don’t play rough or scratch too much.
