Compact GPS tracker with useful app
This is a high-quality compact GPS tracker for your pet. I’m not sure why they advertise this as a cat tracker — it works fine for dogs as well. Like most of these devices, this one requires a subscription to work, but Pawfit gives you a 30-day free trial before you need to pay for the subscription. Such a risk-free evaluation is needed to ensure this works well for your specific environment. The app worked flawlessly for me. The resolution of the GPS tracking is not great, but that’s partly due to limitations of the GPS system itself. It relies on 4G cellular for most things, so the main factors to consider when evaluating this are the strength of the cellular signal in your environment and the strength of the GPS reception. For me, GPS was often “weak,” but if your pet is lost, that’s better than nothing. One difference between this tracker and their larger models is that this one does not use WiFi, but it will try to use Bluetooth when your pet is in the user-defined “safety zone.”Perhaps the main downside of the small size is the battery life. It’s not terrible, but it requires a recharge every few days, so you have to hope that your pet doesn’t get lost when the battery capacity is low.I’ve compared this to a more popular brand, and I prefer the Pawfit due to the compact size.

Your Pet, Upgraded to 2.0 — Now With Stats and Superpowers
This little gadget turns your beloved furry friend into a smart companion — like giving your old dog (or cat) a digital upgrade. I now know, with statistical certainty, that my dog naps for roughly 23 hours a day. Somehow, seeing that confirmed in the app makes me grin every time. For the sneaky ones who love to dash out the gate or disappear into bushes, this tracker is a game-changer. It’s like gaining a sixth sense — they’ll have no idea how you found them so fast, and you’ll start to feel like you’ve unlocked some kind of psychic pet-finding power. The magic is really in the companion app. Steps, sleep, location history — it’s all there in a clean and fun interface. And while it already feels futuristic, I can’t help but imagine where it could go next: syncing with an automatic feeder to match food to activity, or tracking changes in gait for early signs of joint issues. It’s a delightful blend of peace of mind and techy amusement. That said, be aware that some of the tracking and app features require a subscription, which isn’t called out clearly enough on the product page. It’s worth factoring that into your decision upfront — especially if you’re buying with expectations of full functionality right out of the box forever. For now, I just enjoy seeing how far she’s wandered — and that she always comes home, glowing like a tiny LED adventurer.

Looks like a great collar and comes with all the necessities but needs a subscription to function
I got this for our new puppy who is small enough to fit through the slats in our fence. I wanted to make sure if she decided to make an escape that I could find her easily. It’s my own fault for not reading closely but you need to purchase a subscription to be able to use this tracker. I did not want to invest that kind of money for something that I wouldn’t need often or for long. It comes with everything that you need to get started. The color is durable and sturdy and the tracker is small enough and light enough to be comfortable for even a smaller animal. The battery life has been long lasting during the time that I have had it. It says it has a free 30-day trial to use to test the accuracy and the function. I could not figure out how to get that free trial to work. It looks like it would be perfect for keeping track of any animal out on a joy ride around the neighborhood but I can’t speak to the accuracy of the GPS. I think they should be more proactive and advertising the need for a subscription.

Nice security for your pet
This GPS tracker is a great way to add an additional level of security to the safety of your pet. The collar and tracker are easy to assemble and the collar is sturdy. The size is larger than some cats might be comfortable with as I have a Maine Coon mix who is 22lbs and it is just a tad bulky for his neck. It does work great and has a nice battery life. A good price point and value for the money. Its an excellent water resistant system to keep your beloved animal safe with they are away from your house.

Surveillance malware
I was so excited about this tracker, but my wife, who is a cybersecurity expert, informed me that the Pawfit is not trustworthy. I use it with a VPN, but it just returns an error message. Useless for anybody who cares about cybersecurity.

No trial, subscription required immediately, and I could not test anything
I really wanted to review this properly. I bought it based on another review claiming there was a free trial mode. That turned out to be completely false. There is no trial of any kind, unlike other trackers such as Pawp or Pawfinity.I understand that this has an internal SIM and that there are real connectivity costs, but a trial is essential to know whether the device even works in your area. Without that, you are paying forty five dollars for the unit plus at least 8.35 more for a single month just to see if it connects. The moment you register, the next screen is the subscription purchase page. All features are locked behind that wall. I could not check location accuracy, lag or refresh rate, battery percentage, or even basic functionality. The battery itself did not last more than a day after charging, but since the app hides battery information without a subscription, I have no idea whether it was fully charged or how quickly it drained. For reference, the tracker weighs 30.4 g with the provided collar. The collar color can be pulled off fairly easily, and I can imagine a twig or bush catching it and doing the same.My cats are indoor pets, but I wanted this as a safety option for those rare times they slip out accidentally. It has happened before, and a tracker would bring peace of mind. This could even work for tracking packages or small items. There are endless possible uses, but none of them can be evaluated because nothing works without paying for service first.Without a trial mode, there is no reasonable way to test whether the device functions in your area at all, which makes it very hard to recommend.
