My rescue shorthair mix was feral before I adopted her. Food was troublesome, as she wouldn’t even try wet food or anything that smelled like fish/shellfish. She has teeth that make small round, triangle, and square shaped dry food difficult to eat. The shape/smell of Royal Canin breed specialities, including this one, appealed to her, and she finally began to eat and gain weight. Colony cats deserve the Royal treatment, too.

Great for sensitive cat
My cat has a sensitive stomach and even “sensitive” foods would cause her to regurgitate or she wouldn’t eat it. I tried this because her brother swore by RC Persian. Sure enough, she loves it AND no more food barf. Worth every penny for my non-pedigreed rescue! Also, small feature that I appreciate, the bag’s resealable zipper doesn’t break, which is just so nice. High quality all around.

My ASH loves this food and it’s a great feeling knowing I’m giving her food that’s literally made for her. Her coat is in great shape! As any ASH owner knows, they’re ALWAYS ready to eat so finding a good food to give in measured feedings is important for weight control. I wish the price hadn’t hiked up after COVID so much but it is what it is.

Royal Canin is what our local vet sells. One of our inside cats is on one of their urinary blends because he leans toward bladder stones.First, the cats like the taste of this. That is important.Ingredients start with => Corn, chicken, wheat, corn … So basically corn is the first ingredient. Somehow, I missed that part before I chose this dry catfood. That is something you must keep in mind and decide if your carnivore cat needs a catfood where corn is the first ingredient. We use this for our outside cats and their diet is mainly mice, frogs, and bugs. This food is good, especially in the winter as it give them little extra fat to keep warm in the winter. Their coats seems to shine good eating this and their health seems good overall.A trusted brand and people swear by this stuff … we, personally, would probably lean toward a higher meat content food next time.
