Easy to put on, secure during use, light weight but tough.
These boots are perfect for my old friend who has suffered from a meniscus tear that can not, due to complications, be repaired. His back foot now drags on the toenails when we take our walks and they are wearing down faster than they can regrow. These boots work great at keeping him from going through the quick. I’m happy that I could find a set of two in the right size for his feet. Easy to put on, secure during use, light weight but tough. Great product.

Decent for most weather and situations
Size 2.25 fit my Aussie well, though he has slightly large feet for one. When strapped snuggly, he can walk and jog without them flying off. He kicks at least one off when sprinting after a ball, however.The traction seems fine. He definitely appreciates not getting ice stuck to his feet. The top fabric part isn’t water proof, so if you’re using them while walking in slush, they will get soaked.They seem well made and he got used to them quickly, despite never wearing shoes before. I feel better about walking him on the ice and salt.

Size issues
Loved the quality of the boot, but even after following size guide recommendations they were too big for my pup’s foot and wouldn’t stay on, even with little socks layered underneath. They were also a little too rigid for her to move comfortably. I’m sure they’re great for bigger dogs but maybe not so much for smaller ones.

Gigantic
I have a small dog, and according to Ruffwear’s sizing chart, the 1.5″ (the smallest they make) will fit. His paw is absolutely swimming in the shoe, so much so that I’m tempted to think the wrong shoes were clipped to the product packaging. There is no chance these will stay on his paws. I cinched the velcro all the way down, and the shoe slid right off.

Fit is critical, still may not work.
Well constructed but did not work well for our dog (40 lb bernedoodle). We found the correct size (different for front and back) but a) the band had to be really tight or she’d throw them off and b) the band then rubbed on her dew claw, leaving serious blisters. Even with the band super tight I’d say she lost one every 2-3 trips out with her dog walker (to be fair, she plays pretty intensely on these trips). Way too expensive for that.

These booties easily handle any terrain
Our 16 year old dog’s hind legs have become very weak, to the point where she needs wheels when we go for walks. But she can still walk in the house and backyard without wheels. So our rehabilitation veterinarian wants our dog to still use her hind legs with the wheels to continue to help strengthen them. So our vet suggested we get grippy booties.We’ve had Ruffwear harnesses in the past, so we know Ruffwear makes good products. These booties are no different. These will definitely stand up to any terrain conditions. It’s easy to slide them on your dog’s paws. They also stay on her paws, though you do have to ensure you tighten the Velcro. If the Velcro is not wrapped tightly, the booties will slide off pretty easily.The one thing about these tough all terrain booties is that the sizable rubberized bottom makes them a bit stiff. So it may take your dog a little while to get used to walking/running in them.

Got our bud these shoes for his back feet, cause he has osteoarthritis and puts more effort on the rear. The boots protect his paws from getting scuffed, and his nails from wearing down quickly on walks -My dog likes wearing these, and doesn’t protest getting them on. They are durable, and they make him walk faster and fall less. Huge win!Just an FYI – we make sure to tighten them well, to put them in place (this means that the fabric overlaps on the front of the boot), and this works great. If we don’t let the fabric overlap, they can be a bit loose.
