Perfect combo of playtime and snack time
We babysit a little Yorkie puppy from time to time and she is always looking for something to do. We tried giving her different treats, but she would eat them in seconds and want more right away. I got this treat dispenser to help keep her mind busy, and it ended up being a win in more ways than one.She usually avoids her kibble, but when I mix a few treats in with her kibble and load them into this toy, she eats everything. It turns mealtime into playtime and keeps her entertained way longer than I expected.My mom recently rescued a Chihuahua, and we bought one of these for her dog too. It took him a few tries to figure out that rolling it around made the treats come out, but once he got the hang of it, he was hooked. We can even make it more challenging by adjusting the hole size, so he has to work harder to get the treats out. It’s a great way to keep his mind busy.The holes are adjustable for different treat sizes and there are two different shaped openings on each end. One side unscrews completely, so it’s really easy to clean and fill. The material feels strong and thick, not flimsy at all. I’m confident this toy is going to last us for years.

Very speculative on if this would work with my dog’s food. Purina Pro-Plan and some of the chunks are a little large. This does in fact work completely well with the food my dog is fedOnly word of wisdom – the small head where the food is deposited into the unit can only be adjusted to hole size when on the pieceOverall good purchase! I’ve adjusted everything to where a half a cup of food in the toy will last my dog about 15 minutes which is actually a long time for him

Our dog is very smart and bores easily. This keeps him busy and engaged! It is tough and stands up to his hard play, biting at it, trying to open it and even jumping on it. He loves it and gets so excited when I pick it up to fill it up for him.

Good idea but inferior chew prevention.
My 25 pound dog chewed it to pieces in under an hour. I really liked the concept of being able to adjust the feed opening to fit the treat size and control the “giving” to a degree. I have it to my dog for the first time and she had chewed it apart within 10 minutes. Then it was neither safe nor uses le. Too bad. Using a better material would have made this a winner

I like the idea of this toy , but here’s the but the treats dispenser lets the treats out to fast no matter where you put treat selector.

This is a great food dispensing toy. I try to give my pup at least one of her meals (of kibble) a day in a puzzle, and this has been a great addition to the rotation. It is durable and functions exactly as expected. It rolls easily on the floor when the dog nudges it. It is easy to open and fill, and has adjustments to change the size of the holes for the treats/kibble to fall out (thus adjusting the difficulty as well). I have chosen to use it on the easiest setting so far for my 10 month old pup, as she either barks at it out of frustration or picks it up and tosses it to try a different way if it isn’t giving her the food readily when she nudges it as intended. On the largest setting, the food falls out fairly quickly, but I figure canine puzzles are intended for enrichment and mental stimulation through problem-solving but not to the extent of frustration. I may adjust it to make it harder in the future. I can attest that it has withstood a few tosses without showing any signs of damage, which speaks to the durability of the item. I occasionally do have to reposition it into the middle of the floor when my pup has pushed it over-enthousiastically and it is up against furniture.Overall, I am thoroughly pleased with this item and have no hesitation recommending it.

This dog toy seemed like a good idea at first however, it seems my dog loses interest very quickly as the treats don’t fall out easily, and the toy is made of a hard plastic, which ended up scratching my floors. There should be a rubber ring around the rolling area to prevent any scratching. Not the best and not the worst I guess it just depends on how motivated your dog is to get the treats. I would recommend this to have dogs with high food drives.

My dog has a lot of puzzle toys at this point, and I like to keep her guessing and trying new ones. The design of this one is simple and straightforward for humans, but may be just a little bit too simple for long term usage for smarter dogs.It unscrews easily to fill, and the two yellow bands turn to adjust the holes on either end to whatever size you want (or closed, if you want to make the puzzle harder with only one hole), and the clear portion allows you to see whether there are any bits left over. It rolls easily too. Nothing about any of this is a problem, and in fact, functions as it should.The only issue is that because it just rolls pretty uniformly, normally, like a cylindrical object generally does, it’s pretty easy to figure out. Nuzzling it along will make it roll and dispense more treats. So it doesn’t last long as a puzzle toy for my dog. Sometimes that’s fine, but sometimes I need a more significant challenge for her.So if your dog is just starting out with puzzle toys, or perhaps has other issues that make more complex toys inaccessible, this is a nice simple option. But if your dog is particularly clever or experienced with these kinds of toys, it may not have the lasting power you want from a toy like this.

This treat dispenser is a great toy. It takes my dog, quite some time to push around with her nose and figure out how to get out the treats. It is a great way to slow feed my dog. You can adjust for the size of the treat that comes out which also increases the difficulty. Overall this is a great toy. I like the fact that it is also quite durable as if I am not paying attention. My dog will start to chew on it. It has not broken yet.
