Quiet and works wonders
I learned that cats, more often boy cats suffer from dehydration, it’s a very common issue so I wanted to find something that would help my cats drink more. This fountain is it! It’s quiet, easy to clean and my cats love it! Super happy with this purchase!

Very well engineered, top quality. The design minimizing points where longterm wear could cause rust to take hold, so this should last a very long time and stay clean and healthy to use.We used to have a similar one we bought off the shelf from one of the big pet retail places. Despite it having a lot of stainless steel, it had some points of weakness in it’s design where it didn’t weather the wear as well, and of course, it took to rust way before it’s time, and we had to toss it out for the safety of the pets. Having learned this, I gave this one a look over first and it appeared to not have the same flaws. After receiving it, it was immediately clear this one was far better, and while I don’t have a crystal ball to know how well it will be working in a year or so, I’m not worried about the same problems.Attractive, simple, good materials, minimal plastics, easy to clean and built in such a way to stay clean a good while, pleasant sounding, quiet, but not TOO quiet (the trickle of water attracts kitties), we can’t even hear the motor. Exactly what we had in mind and very fair price for the quality.Highly recommended.

Loved it so much but then couldn’t get it clean 🙁
Pros: Large enough bowl for a border collie and two cats to share without refilling constantly. It’s much more attractive than others I’ve purchased. It’s very quiet- I only heard it if the level was getting low, then it sounded like a trickle. It’s very easy to put together and take apart. It’s real stainless steel. Most of it… which leads me to the following:Con: I’ve had this since April 20th, 2023. I’ve taken it apart and washed each little part by hand each week. I’ve changed the filters per the manufacturer’s recommendations. Tonight, I began taking it apart to do my weekly cleaning and noticed this plastic piece (pictured) was so disgustingly yellow. The picture is after it’s been hand washed, ran through my dishwasher and then sat in a glass of bleach and water for about 10 minutes. I cannot get it clean. FYI: it’s the piece that the copper spout locks into.I really wish that the manufacturer would let me know how to purchase a replacement plastic piece bc this fountain really is the best I’ve ever owned; however, it’s unusable at this point.*** update***I’ve updated my review to 5 stars because soon after posting my original review, the manufacturer contacted me with suggestions on how to better clean the fountain( vinegar and water) and also sent me the replacement piece I needed free of charge. I can’t report a single complaint about this water fountain. It’s currently September and they still love it. So much in fact, I’ve purchased a second one. Thanks!

Nah! Faucet changed colors w/in 2 weeks
It works but it doesn’t filter well. The “copper” faucet part was the reason I bought this fountain & bc my cats love to drink out of the dog fountain or out of the sink. However, they won’t drink out this one at all. I followed all the directions & they won’t use it. It doesn’t filter well & the faucet part changed colors within 2 weeks of the date of purchase even though I thoroughly cleaned all the parts before use! I was shocked to see how much hair and other nastiness was just sitting in the bottom of the fountain. There was some kind of sludge in the bottom too! No wonder why they won’t use it! The fact that the faucet part changed colors in 2 weeks makes me afraid that if they did use it they’d get sick. I’m getting a refund for this one! The only pros I can give this foundation are that it’s extremely quiet to the point that I have to look directly at it to know that it’s on even with the copper color part constantly moving water and that most of it is stainless steel. The motor and parts attached to the motor along with the filter holder are plastic. So it’s good at first glance, but I wouldn’t waste your money!Edit: after making the video, I removed the faucet part. Without the faucet, it is NOT silent. It’s not loud by any means, but it sounds more like a babbling brook. However my cats still won’t use it! 🙁

Quiet, easy to use water fountain, but the unsecured lid is a design flaw!
This is a nice water fountain – easy to clean, quiet, and works well. That being said, I have one BIG complaint. The description for this item says it has a “buckle” that acts as the cord guide for the pump. That’s misleading! It’s not a buckle at all, it’s merely a plastic guard for the cord. Nothing holds the lid down, and if you have smart, active cats, like I do, you’ll have a problem. Even though the lid sits down in the reservoir, cats can lift up on the cord guard or the water spout and pull the lid off! I’ve had this fountain for just 5 days now, and my two Ragdolls have pulled the top off twice! That means your pump will be running dry until you discover it, which in our case has been at night while we’re sleeping so who knows how long it was running dry until we found it! Everyone knows that running the pump dry will cause it to burn out eventually, so I’d consider that a pretty major design flaw!I contacted Tomxcute today (2/21/2023) to ask if they have a clamp they can provide to correct this design flaw. Hopefully they will address this promptly, otherwise this fountain is getting returned and I’ll be back to the drawing board, trying to find a fountain that our cats can’t take apart.

I purchased the Tomxcute 4.0L Stainless Steel Pet Fountain expecting a premium product, but I’m deeply disappointed, especially with the copper spout and the vendor’s apparent awareness of its issues. The fountain arrived in a mess due to customs inspection, though undamaged. However, the copper “gooseneck faucet” (a big selling point) came in an airtight bag, which screams that the vendor knows it’s prone to rust or oxidation. Why else seal it so carefully? Once in use, that copper piece is exposed to water constantly, and other reviews confirm it rusts or causes a connected plastic piece to turn “disgustingly yellow” despite cleaning. This raises serious safety concerns for pets, as copper can leach into water, and degraded plastic might too. My dog never liked the fountain anyway, so I removed the copper spout, but the plastic holder’s potential to degrade makes me question the whole product’s safety.The vendor touts 304 stainless steel, but a review mentioning rust after six months suggests either false advertising or low-quality components. The pump is quiet (a plus), and the 4.0L capacity is great for multiple pets, but the included filters feel cheap, so I used my own filtered water. Customer service was decent—they offered a full refund when I reported an issue—but the airtight copper packaging feels like a deliberate move to hide a known flaw until it’s in the customer’s hands. At this price (plus import fees), I expected better transparency and quality. I’d avoid this fountain and go for a copper-free alternative like the Pioneer Pet Raindrop to ensure pet safety. Buyer beware: that copper spout is a risky gimmick.
