Not perfect, but it’s something…
Although I’ve only had this for a few days and not used it for the purpose for which it is intended, I did want to go ahead and post this kind of early review, which I will update.I ordered this cat GPS collar for a future cat which I intend to adopt in early spring (now Nov) and turn into a barn cat, so I thought it would be very nice to keep some track of it. In the meantime, I tested it out on my little Jack Russell mix.It’s very easy to set up with the included instructions and it’s very simple. If you’ve ever used an apple AirTag, it works the same way and sets up the same way in your FindMy app.It offers the same beeping function to help locate it and tracking. I did a very minimal test by placing the collar about 100 feet away from me and trying to track it and it said it was with me, so that’s not awesome if you can’t see the animal among trees or under a bed or inside a shed, etc., but I will say the beeping is great. Very audible. It only does it for a couple of seconds and then you’d need to repeat it if you didn’t hear it or find it, but it does work well.It comes with an ostensibly long-lasting, replaceable battery, which requires an included key. (An upgrade would be if it were rechargeable.)It comes with a black nylon “safety” collar with reflective paw prints and a little bell. I noticed that I never heard the bell while it was on my dog, but I expect one would if, say, the animal were scratching its neck or jumping down from a height. As far as the release mechanism, it’s a plastic clasp, cutely in the shape of a cat head, that with a firm tug comes apart. I worry that it requires a bit too firm a tug and feel that an elastic inset is safer, but the GPS holder (black rubber with an open paw print design) is detachable and could be put on a different collar.I can’t yet speak to durability and longevity and ability to keep track of a ranging animal, but so far it seems good and should give a little peace of mind and I will update!

Reliable dual-system cat tracker
Setup with Apple Find My and Google Find Hub feels straightforward, and the app connection makes basic tracking easy for me to manage on busy days. I like that the collar feels sturdy enough for outdoor use, and the compact design does not bother my cat much. The battery life claims sound good, but I would worry about monitoring it closely since replacing or recharging often would be annoying. Bluetooth based positioning also means I might lose accuracy if my cat roams too far from nearby devices.For $20 bucks, the value seems reasonable, but I would expect consistently precise tracking and truly long battery life at this price. Overall, I see this as a simple, budget cat tracker with solid design and acceptable functionality, but I would not fully rely on it for critical situations.

Once out of my yard they disappear!
I have an android phone. Which relies on the Google find network. I can only see my cats when they are in my yard. Once out of range if my service… They’re gone. Not enough people in my neighborhood with the same network to ping off of. Returning. I did like the reflective collar and the break away collar is nice and stiff. Not easy to get off.

This Cat Tracker GPS Collar is made of durable materials and light enough for a cat.It is a break away collar which is a plus. If it gets caught on something the cat would not be harmed. It also is a reflective collar but it would be nice if the collar was a bright stand out color instead of black.It connected with my android find app really easily. The only problem with that is if the cat is far away and not around others with Bluetooth you won’t be able to effectively find the cat.People appreciate the long battery life and durable materials of this cat tracker GPS collar. However, some users have mentioned that the real-time location tracking may not always be accurate.This collar is a good price if your cat does not roam too far. Plus no monthly subscription.

So, this is not an actual GPS tracker as the add states, it’s an air tag which operates off of your phone or devices Bluetooth. This would be sufficient if you’re looking to keep tabs on an indoor pet but not to in locating them if they’ve wandered off or escaped.
