Works great! Keeps my cat busy.
I’ve had this treat dispenser for 4 months and I’m very happy with it. As you can see in the video, my cat is too! Besides the fact that my cat was able to pull out some of the feathers, I don’t have anything negative to say about this toy. Some tips:- You can pop the tail off to refill treats. I couldn’t figure out how until a few months in. You need to turn the tail counterclockwise. It might feel stuck at first and may take a bit of effort to open.- If your cat doesn’t know how to play the game, you may have to teach them. My cat initially tried to retrieve treats by pushing it around with his face. I had to grab his paw and use it to swat the toy until a treat came out. It took some time, but he eventually figured it out.- When first introducing this to your cat, do not overfill the toy. If you overfill, depending on the size of the treats, it may make it more difficult for your cat to swat out treats and discourage them. Now that my cat is a seasoned treat hunter, I fill mine with ~1/3 cup of Hill’s Science Diet for adult indoor cats. Each kibble is just a bit smaller than the dispenser hole, and it can take a while for him to swat the first couple out. As the toy empties, it will be easier. Once your cat gets the hang of it, overfilling may help keep your cat busy for half an hour or so.- Make it into a game! I like to hide the toy somewhere easy for my cat to find as a nice surprise while he’s wandering around.

    Keeps the cat busy
Great little toy and easy to load but the despite the toy being a decent size, the treats need to be small or they wont come out the hole. It is also a little bit heavy so if your cat isnt an 18lb giant like mine they may have a little trouble pushing this particular toy around. On the up side I dont find myself constantly searching for this toy either. It is easy to spot and doesnt fit under the furniture.

    Cat seal of approval
If your cat likes to eat fake feathers on toys, keep an eye out as these seem to just be hot-glued on and a determined cat can pull them off. Otherwise, my cat loves these and figured out pretty fast how to get the treats out, mostly by flinging them around the room until they give up the goods. The plastic ball inside which holds the treats moves around a bit, but can be easily moved around. Fabric seems durable and holds up to claws. The treat hole is a bit small so not all kinds of treats will fit inside, or treats that fit inside may not come back out easily if they’re too large.

Too large and no way to open it
This is too large to be a cat toy, so my cat just sniffs it and moves on. The hole that dispenses the treats is blocked by the feathers, so the cat can’t really see that there are treats inside. Also, the dispensing hole for the star-shaped treats is too small to get the treats easily in/out of. The points of the stars snag on the opening. I can’t see any way that the thing actually comes apart, so you have to feed the treats in through the dispensing hole one by one, and once they’re in there, there’s no way to get them out or replace them once they get stale, other than by shaking them back out, one by one, through the dispensing hole. There’s no way to clean the interior. It was a total waste of money, for my cat, at least.

Cute toy but feathers came off easy
As a cat owner who is always on the lookout for engaging toys for my furry friend, I recently purchased a mouse cat toy that initially caught my eye due to its attractive design. The toy featured a cute mouse shape with feathers attached, which seemed perfect for stimulating my cat’s hunting instincts. However, while the toy looked good, I was disappointed to find that the feathers came off easily, diminishing the overall durability and enjoyment of the toy.Upon receiving the mouse cat toy, my cat was immediately intrigued by the feathers and began to play with enthusiasm. The toy’s design was visually appealing, and it seemed to capture my cat’s attention effectively. The feathers added an element of movement and unpredictability, which encouraged my cat to engage in active play. In terms of initial impressions, the toy appeared to be a promising addition to our collection of cat toys. However, my enthusiasm quickly waned as I noticed that the feathers started to come off after only a short period of play. Although my cat is a gentle player, the feathers were not securely attached to the toy and began to detach easily. This not only resulted in a decrease in the toy’s visual appeal but also posed a potential hazard to my cat if she were to ingest the loose feathers. The lack of durability was disappointing, as it limited the lifespan of the toy and failed to provide the engaging play experience I had initially anticipated.

    Disappointed!!
The hole is big. I have 3 different size “treats” for hairballs and urinary health. Once the largest treat falls out (within 2 seconds) the rest of the treats follow in a pile. The ball is made of a nice material, similar to most dog toys. However it is a waste of time for cat treats.

Keeps my cats busy in between mealtimes
A perfect small ball for stimulation! I disliked that many of these treat balls were used as ‘slow feeders’ and had so much space, I like that this ball is the perfect size to limit treats spilling out everywhere, but also it doesn’t store an entire meal portion, which means I can just dump treats in and not have to worry about how much was actually in there.I ended up purchasing a second one.I will say, this material is somewhat rubbery feeling, if my other cat were still alive (lived a long mostly-healthy life) she would try to eat the ball, so be careful if you know your cat is the type to eat this material.

I bought this for my cat as I couldn’t find her Dreamies mouse. I found that in the christams decorations after buying this. I think this mouse is too big and heavy for her and the treats do not fall out as easily as the smaller Dreamies mouse. I considered using it for her actual food. That comes out easy enough but I don’t think I will. So it’ll probably sit there unused. However, the mouse is good quality and cheap enough.

The item was delivered quick. I should have read the reviews but for me a cat toy should have been a no issue item.So the ball is way too big. Material is a thick and heavy rubber (doesn’t roll or go that far=no entertainment.) And the treat hole was way too big! I used whiskas temptation and after a forst law swat 3 came out and after ine more she was done with all the treats.
