Great leash for exploring
Great leash that has worked very well! Our local school had some issues with people complaining about dogs not being on their leash even though it’s a fenced area where they can run and have fun. My dog loves to smell and explore and I hated to limit her to a small distance leash – with this she can roam and smell and I still have control with a leash so it was a win. She’s a 60lbs English springer who isn’t super active anymore but she still pulled it to get to her destination and it’s held up very well!

Quality retractable leash
I’ve had this leash for over six months now and it’s holding up great. It’s the perfect size for my hand and my 14 pound dog. Easy to control and just the right length, he can be independent but not too far from me. Wish it came in red since he got a new red collar and harness for Christmas.

The inlet/outlet opening and lock mechanism.
This is not my first Retractable Dog Leash.”Chew proof” is wishful thinking. When I was distracted,my dog very quickly chewed through the flat cable,as he would any nonmetallic leash.The opening is not as effective as my past leash, in keeping theflat cable from binding. The lock/unlock mechanism is clumsy if you’re wearing gloves.With this in mind, it is a better leash than many but not the best I’ve had.Next time I will find a better retractable leash at a box store and compare its price online.

Sturdy, durable, and easy to use
I was looking for a retractable leash longer than normal to help with training my 6 month, 35 lb husky. I was reluctant to try this leash due to how thin the line is. But I gave it a try figuring I’d return it if it was a cheap quality or flimsy. After using this leash daily, for several weeks, in many different situations, I absolutely love it. I have not experienced any issue with the auto retraction (as I thought might happen) and the line is very sturdy. It is easy to use and is now my go to leash over any of my other standard length leashes. If I need the leash to be shorter as we are in a store or situation where my dog needs to be close to me, I just set the stop and it stays at the length I set. I absolutely would recommend this leash.

Low spring tension
Low tension and terrible retraction. Also the stop button is difficult to work. Not a great leash to use with an active dog. It does look nice, but it did not work with my dog.

Best Small dog lease on the Market.
Excellent dog lease, retractable easily and firmly. Good material, and hard case of excellent quality. Well worth the expense, priced fairly. well made from excellent available materials. Thank you for a superior small dog product.

Too bulky and doesn’t retract every time.
It’s more bulky than my other retractable leashes and because the leash is the wider strap it gets tangled in the mechanism and won’t retract fully every time. I’ve also tried locking it in at a close proximity to me and when my dog pulled it still let him out just with resistance. Overall not worth the $26 when it works like an $8 leash.

I bought this product previously but misplaced my first leash. I had been very happy with it so decided to replace the first with the same product. However I found the first leash before the second arrived. Therefore I now have a second as a backup. I haven’t used the second leash yet. However the first has proven to be very robust and reliable the spring tension is very good and the fabric strap is durable. After 6 months of daily use, often in the bush, the leash has operated reliably. There are a number of products on the market that look the same. However I have tried a couple of them and had lead breakage and rewind spring failures. The Emperor product on the other hand has been very reliable. If I had a complaint it would be with the size. The handle is too small to hold with a winter gloved hand. Consequently I tend to hold it with 2 or 3 fingers. Not really a big deal.

It’s good, I like it and it’s really long. My dog can go off and sniff and run a round when on walks and hiking. It does get stuck and it’s a bit hard to lock sometimes or unlock but it’s been through the ringer and still holding strong.
