Treat Cam
Love this treat cam, it works well easy to set up and my cat Mario loves it. I work very long hours and this allows me to see and talk to him and give him crunchy treats while at work. The only thing I wish was different is that it didn’t shoot the treats out about 3 feet from where it sits. I fixed that by placing a piece of cardboard over the opening to force the treats down to the plate…works well. All in all very worth the money.

Love this item! Not only could I see my cats while on vacation… I could shoot them treats. Downside is that when you talk to them there was some crazy feedback. Also, the treats shoot out like bullets… so make sure your pet isn’t in front of the camera when you hit feed! Also… it promotes purchasing iCloud for an exorbitant amount. I didn’t do this. It worked fine. I didn’t want pictures or videos of them, I only wanted to check in. It does take random shots… day or night. Love this item!!

The best I’ve used, except…
There is so much to like about this, but it’s really hard to move past it’s biggest flaw… the playback.It has great video quality. It’s way better than the last brand I used. The fact that I can log in and move the camera around is also awesome and it’s able to track my dog moving around. Local storage on a micro sd is a huge plus!I just feel let down when I have to go searching through video to see anything that may or may not have happened. I’ve had a different brand and when I logged in it had thumbnails of movement detections. You could instantly see what your dog had been up to all day without having to sit through their nap times. With this device, it starts at midnight and you can scroll through the timeline. You have to know what your looking for to find it.The treat dispensing is better on this brand than the other too. It is consistent with how far it throws them and you can choose how many it throws. You can only use one size but it does a better job throwing them. It has only clogged on me once and that time I did have treats that were just a bit too big.It also won’t work with Alexa to throw the treats. With the other brand, I was able to tell alexa to fling treats and trigger that. (I used to be able to tell alexa to fling treats and it prompted my stubborn dogs to run inside when they tried to stay out.) I was also able to set up automations like having a certain sound trigger alexa to throw treats so things bothered my dog less while she was home alone. This geeni cam can’t do any of that.The poor video quality and subscription reliance of the other brand makes this one the better option still, in my opinion. I can even overlook the lack of alexa automations. If they would just make it easier to see when the video has content worth watching this thing would be amazing!

Lots of great features
This is my third treat cam, and by far the best of the three.It was easy to install. The app is easy to use. I like that you can pick how many times you want to feed them. If you pick two, it will make the alerts sound and shoot out the treats. Then it will repeat it, making the alert again and shoot out the treats again. Each time it is 2 to 3 treats. The distance is 3 to 6 feet.The camera has a nice clear picture. I like that you can turn it on without making a noise. The noise comes when you are giving treats. In the app you can spin the camera around to see exactly what the kitties are doing before you treat. There is audio, but I have not used that. There is also an alert that you can set up where they can speak and alert you that they want a treat. I think this is more for dogs than cats. I have cats. Since this feature is not for me, I am not sure how that works or if the subscription is required to use that or not.You do not need a subscription unless you want to use the cloud feature.The lid presses down nice and tight so little paws cannot easily open it and help themselves. There are three strong suction cups on the bottom to hold it in place, so it is not easily knocked over.I buy the 6 ounce bags of Temptations and it holds about 3/4ths of the bag. It comes with a little brush to clean and unclog the shoot, if needed.

Worked briefly…
Well…it worked for a few days. Suddenly, the app no longer reads it. I’ve tried resetting several times and it never recognized the device again, rendering it useless.

Good value although only works for certain size treats. Camera swivels and dispenses properly. Easy to install and use. Sleek design. Fits a decent quantity of treats. Always confident I can check on the animals when I’m not home.
