My cat is pretty heavyset, and a month ago I noticed that a lot of his undercoat was getting pretty matted – most likely due to having poor posture, making him unable to groom himself properly, which created a feedback loop of more pain due to matted fur. He’s always had pain around his hind legs/hips/base of his tail and I always assumed it was due to a tail injury he had before we took him in. While that may have been a factor, I did some reading and discovered that improper grooming can also cause pain for cats since their skin is so thin – even in short-haired cats!So I bought him this and we both absolutely love it. For me the brush is very ergonomic, feels nice to hold & the texture of the plastic is pleasing (not completely smooth/shiny, it’s a bit matte which helps with grip and it does not feel cold when it’s been sitting for a while). The little mechanism with which you clean hair off the brush is AMAZING. it works so well, and it’s so easy a toddler could do it if they understood what they were doing. I would hate to use a brush without this feature.As for how my cat likes it – not only does he like the stimulation of brushing (it took him a bit to get used to, because he’s generally a cat with stronger boundaries – not exactly a cuddle puddle all the time), but now sometimes he’ll come up to me and ask for a brush just because it feels good. Most importantly, over the first few days/ a week of brushing, most of his problem matting was taken care of (I will reiterate that this was soft beginning matting in the undercoat – real hard mats might not be able to be serviced using just a brush). I saw an instant change in how comfortable he was letting me pet/brush his former pain areas. Before he would never let me scritch his butt or hind legs at all, and now he lets me brush all the way up the base of his tail sometimes (still the biggest pain point as per his prior injury, but we’re making progress and most of the matting is gone!). Now it’s a regular ritual when we both have free time – I’ll brush his spine, back legs & hips, and any problem points and he loved it. The undercoat matting is mostly gone, his fur looks fluffier, his posture looks better, and he’s able to cuddle with more freedom of movement than before! I would hate to imagine how he’d be feeling now if I hadn’t bought this brush…One more thing: the tips on this brush (little round dots) are nice. Some other brushes don’t have those – which is probably better for really getting at the harder mats, but these tips definitely make a more calming massage effect. IF your cat has harsher matting, you might benefit from purchasing a brush with that in mind. But don’t be surprised if brushing is more of a chore in that case..Brushing cat hair is very important for all cats, even shorthair breeds! At the very least if your cat doesn’t need it for any specific reason, most cats will love the act of brushing and it can become a new play/relaxation item. Highly recommend everybody get a brush for their cat(s), and personally this one has been working very well for Huey & I. 🙂

Okay… cats like the smaller brush
Bought this for my feline friends. I like the look of these brushes and that theyre pink.The small brush is good. It removes tangles and other misc. gunk well, and the size works well for a cat. My cats also enjoy being brushed with the smaller one. However, the small brush is inconvenient and at times difficult to clean. That is why I took off 1 star.On the other hand, the larger brush is easy to clean. That said, I kind of find it impractical to use on a cat because it’s too big. My cats get overwhelmed by it and so do I. If it were half the size, it would be perfect. I would take off another star but it is my fault for not paying closer attention to the size. It would prob work well for larger cats or dogs.

My cat was a little defiant, I know he liked being brushed, but he also wanted to play. The brush is great and removes shedding fur and easy to clean . It is heavy duty and does not feel plastic or toy like. It is easy to use and easy to clean.

Excellent brush for my old cat. Works perfectly and it’s easy to remove the hair from the brush afterwards. Even the little comb was useful in the tight areas around the head, and on the tail. Helps clean the brush too. I’m thoroughly impressed!

Harder to clean than described.
This brush was fine price and durability wise. I used this on my Labrador retriever and she was not a fan of it, but it did the job. I would definitely recommend to any dog owner during shedding season.Only problem was the cleaning aspect. While there is a button to push to get the hair to the top, you’re still picking out the hairs from the bristles.Overall, a good brush if you’re looking to get the job done quick.

Great brush set for your fur babies
Love this set! The brush works well on any length of pet hair and just push the button to release the hair for collection and disposal. Super easy and your pet will love it too!! The flea comb comes in handy too. Well made and highly recommended!

The flea comb is nice..I took out all my cats fleas with it but they can escape pretty quicklyThe brush is absolutely amazing in removing hair but while pressing the button to remove the hair..the button seems a bit stiff and hard which is though to operate

Nice wide brush-head and soft bristle-tips makes it easier to trick the fussy baby who *hates* being brushed into thinking she’s just being petted. The long-haired cloud of fluff has a level of tolerance for brushing, and not having to take three minutes to clean out the bristles every thirty seconds makes the process way more efficient. The brush is also good and durable – I have one that’s a year or two old now, and it’s still every bit as good as it was the day I got it.

Elle enlève délicatement mais efficacement les poils morts, les nœuds et les squames, laissant le pelage de mes chats doux et brillant. Mes chats, qui sont habituellement réticents à se faire brosser, semblent vraiment apprécier les aiguilles de massage de la peau avec leurs embouts ronds en caoutchouc. Cela leur offre un massage apaisant sans irriter leur peau, même la plus sensible. Le bouton de nettoyage en un clic est une véritable bénédiction. Après avoir brossé mes chats, il suffit d’appuyer sur le bouton pour que les poils soient libérés facilement. Cela rend le processus de nettoyage rapide et sans effort, ce qui est un énorme gain de temps. En résumé, cette brosse est devenue un élément indispensable dans notre routine de soins. Elle est parfaite pour maintenir le pelage de mes chats en excellente santé, tout en rendant le toilettage une expérience agréable pour nous tous.
