How far will my Petloc8 track or locate?
Our system is designed to locate a Petloc8 Device anywhere in the world (with NO ADDITIONAL costs or roaming fees) as long as there is GSM cellular service area.
Is Petloc8 waterproof?
Petloc8 has an IP67 waterproof rating, which means it can withstand immersion in water up to a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.
What are the tracking modes and how do they work?
Petloc8 has 4 different tracking modes to choose from: Power Save, Everyday, Performance, and Real-Time Tracking. They determine location update intervals and battery life. You can change between modes from the Petloc8 App.
Can you attach the Petloc8 to a collar?
Yes. Each Petloc8 tracking device comes with a soft and comfortable silicone cover that is easily attached to your pets collar
How many Petloc8 devices can I add to my Petloc8 App account?

Not worth the money
Loved these at first. After a month they are not working right. Turning off while my cats are outside. They make you pay for an app to. Not worth it. We are locked in for a year with the app and now can’t use them because they turn off.

Good product
Honestly, this pet tracker has been a game-changer. My dog’s a little Houdini and loves to sneak off, but now I can just check the app and see exactly where he’s wandered off to. Setup was super quick, and the battery actually lasts way longer than I expected. It’s not perfect 100% of the time, but it’s pretty close. Pretty sure it’s gonna get even better with software updates.

Good Device and App, but Battery Life is a Dealbreaker
The device works well and the app is reliable. The interface is user-friendly and easy to navigate, which makes the overall experience quite smooth. However, the biggest downside is the battery life. It only lasts about a day and a half, so I find myself needing to recharge it constantly. This is especially inconvenient for a tracking device that’s supposed to offer peace of mind. I’m actually considering returning the product because of this issue.

I purchased this dog tracker for my small dog, he is very active and gets out of my yard all the time. This tracker has been a life saver helping me track him when he gets out and has been spot on accurate. I now have peace of mind which is priceless.

Smallest GPS & Cellular Tracker / Accurate / Loud & has LED
Day 1, just got it. Easy setup. I did have to manually type in the Device & IMEI number because the QR code scanning of it did not pull in the data. I’m impressed at how smaller this is over a couple of the competitors. It seems that it will be easily tolerated by my fluffy cat. I also ordered the Tractive and the Weenect to compare and decide, I’m going with the Petloc8. Tractive is marketed a lot, but I think these Petloc8’s are nice due to the notably smaller size on a cat. To test the thing out, I went on a walk to our mailbox while in Live Tracking and it was impressive at how accurate it spotted the location and the number of data points it logged. There is also a function on it for sending a Beep, which have off a very high-pitched long continuous beeeeeep sound while illumination a very bright white LED light. That LED is lacking in the others and this Petloc8 has it. That’ll be handy at night. The geofence is great too.I got this with priority because we have a new cat, a replacement. Tragically we recently lost our last cat. We went camping to a state park with her in our RV. She escaped the RV but I grabbed her leash and then she hudinied out of the harness we had on her. I spend 3 days hiking woods for nearly 20 miles (tracked my search on my phone). Despite all our best efforts, got a call from the Ranger and she was found in the road, hit that very morning. I did not find her in time. Had we had this Petloc8 device on her, we’d still have our previous family member. I’m sad I did not get this before or have any tracking method on her. Not making that mistake again! This Petloc8 is the most minimally sized GPS / Cellular connected tracker I’ve found. It appears to work well here on Day 1. Short Battery life I’ve seen others post about I am certain is because their settings are set to ping for data too frequently. I’ll find out soon enough. You can set it to ping data every two minutes or incrementally up to two hours. Just set it on 2 hrs and forget it, leave it on them on their collar. It does not look too be that bothersome, though I wished there were other color choices or a sleeve to cover over it for aesthetics. They suggest that it’ll last perhaps 4 weeks at the 2-hr setting, so I’m hoping so. If I need to find my cat right away, easy to jump into Live Tracking mode from the APP.Update after days later: When I bought this, I could swear it claimed 4 weeks battery life and now the image was updated and says “up to 2 weeks”. Wished I had screenshot that. We’ll, still yet, I have no idea how anybody gets 2 full weeks outta this unless they’re turning it off for periods of time. I’ve fiddled with different settings and there aren’t that many related to having an effect on battery life. Battery Saver mode is one setting, which then let’s you set the frequency to max of “locate it every 2 hours” vs 2 mins. There’s also a setting for Tap to Locate, so that basically it only gives you a data point if you tell it to from the App, it says that’s the most economical setting. Also, you can have it utilize the home wifi for when the cat is in the house, so when on Wifi it should be using less power than if on cellular. No matter the settings I try, seems it still drain at a rate of ~25% drop each day, give it take a bit. So, it gets down to 25% after the 3rd day and I’m charging it so it’s not going to 0%. I just don’t want our new cat to run off with a near dead battery and I’m on a short timeline to find her.So, with all that said, I still like it. It’s great! It’s small, so I have to temper my expectations on battery life. I wanted smallest possible for a cat and still feature-rich. This one is it so far. So, I have to charge it every 3-4 days, so what. It does the job I wanted. Lowered to 4 stars because of their advertised claim it lasts up to 2 weeks… Prove it! Tell me how, I would really like to know.

No pierda su tiempo no sirve
Super malo compre inicialmente 7 dispositibos para los gatos cuando empece a configurarlo te piden la tarjeta para q pagues el mes o el año (todo normal ) cuando termine de hacer ese proceso se la puse a mi gato y nunca mostraba la ubicacion que era segun eso mi gato estaba en la mitad de un express way dicen que tienen soporte al cliente 24 h ponen un robot que nunca da una respuesta y menos una solucion lo devolvi desde amazon y al final pude conseguir un correo cancelando la suscripcion y no les importo me siguieron cobrando el mes sabiendo que ya todo estaba desactivado y reportado con el numero de serie del dispositivo , es un tamaño aceptable pero no compren esto!

Habe diesen Tracker für meinen Kater bestellt. Die ersten Tage hat er reibungslos funktioniert. Dann am vierten Tag verliert er urplötzlich das GPS Signal und ich kann den Tracker nicht mehr orten. Ein- und Ausschalten lässt das GPS Signal kurz aufkommen, aber nach zehn Minuten ist es wieder weg. Zuerst dachte ich, es liegt daran, dass die Katze keine Empfang hat am Boden. Dann habe ich den Tracker angemacht und Zuhause getestet. GPS Signal ist vorhanden, dann zeigt mir der Tracker eine Route im Wald, springt dann wieder in eine Straße paar Häuser von uns entfernt, obwohl er neben mir liegt, ungewegt und verliert dann wieder das GPS-Signal. Da einige Tierbesitzer denselben Tracker hier in der Gegend haben, dachte ich sofort, der zeigt mir die Tracker der anderen an. Irgendwie interagiert das Signal mit den anderen. Leider war der Support bislang nicht sehr hilfreich, außer zu schreiben, dass ich Garantie habe. Deshalb habe ich noch eine Email geschrieben mit der Bitte, den Tracker gegen einen neuen auszutauschen. Bisher keine Rückmeldung. An sich wäre der Tracker super, er ist klein, leicht und auch eine sehr einfach zu verstehende Bedienung, wenn er funktionieren würde und auch das anzeigt, wo er eigentlich sich befindet!Ich bin gespannt, ob die Firma sich noch zurückmeldet und den Tracker umtauscht oder ob ich den einfach zurücksenden muss, um einen komplett anderen zu besorgen. Wirklich sehr schade. Ob das ein Montagsmodell ist oder ob es grundsätzlich Probleme gibt, kann ich leider nicht sagen.Update:14.Mai. Englischer Support der Firma hat sich zurückgemeldet und hat meine Frage nach einem möglichen Austausch des Gerätes drei Mal komplett ignoriert. Dann habe ich kurzerhand Amazon direkt kontaktiert und eine Rückgabe veranlasst. Auf einmal bot mir die Firma an einen neuen Tracker zuzusenden, was mir dann irgendwie zu komisch war. Angeblich wählt sich der Tracker von alleine in Wlan Netze ein, obwohl ich das bei ihm gar nicht installiert habe, so laut Kundenservice. Dennoch ist unklar, warum das GPS Signal nach drei Tagen komplett weg war und ich meinen Kater gar nicht tracken konnte. Zweiter sehr unschöner Punkt: man hat keine Gewalt über sein Abonnement. Es gibt in der App keine Möglichkeit zu kündigen. Diesbezüglich muss man sich an den Support wenden und hoffen, dass die reagieren und es stornieren bzw. kündigen. Meiner Meinung ist das absolut kundenunfreundlich.

Does not pin point my pet . The gps keeps giving addresses 2 to 3 homes away from where my pet is. Customer service was good when my pet got out of its collar and I couldn’t find it , because it isn’t a great app.
